The Role

We're seeking a seasoned insurance professional to lead our Home Assessing business, driving strategic control and optimizing performance. As a key member of our Claims and Assessing leadership team, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing initiatives to enhance customer and employee engagement, reporting, and systems.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop and execute strategies to deliver continuous improvements across the Home Assessing business, focusing on customer and employee engagement, reporting, and systems.
  • Collaborate with the Claims and Assessing leadership team to establish well-defined control systems that produce business outcomes that are replicable, predictable, measurable, and scalable.
  • Nurture a high-performing and engaged workforce, promoting a culture of 'one team' across multiple working teams and locations.
  • Design and execute the assessing journey from appointment to repair or completion.
  • Drive organizational agility, scalability, and success in navigating change.
  • Maintain the integrity of the Home Assessing model by driving continued strategic enhancements, understanding, and adherence.
  • Lead the Home Assessing teams to deliver optimal claims cost outcomes, high-level customer service, and a strong control environment.
  • Drive continued high performance across all aspects of the Home Assessing business, focusing on the business strategy, key performance indicators, and team capabilities.
  • Provide support and guidance for escalated customer queries and complaints, and cases referred to AFCA.
  • Ensure that regulatory governance and commitments are met within the prescribed industry guidelines and associated codes.
Requirements
  • Accomplished insurance leader with a proven track record in driving performance and enhancing workplace culture.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Leadership and management experience commensurate with 4-5+ years in a senior-level leadership role within a comparative organizational environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Home insurance and claims relative to applicable legislation, processes, and industry best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver operating plans to achieve KPIs.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, engage, and develop others.
