Job Summary

The purpose of the Claims Leadership Manager is to provide strategic and operational leadership in ensuring the efficient and effective handling of claims with the Settlements department at Auto & General. This role provides leadership for team leaders and their respective teams who have a direct impact on claim cost outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Settlements claims management teams while implementing strategies to streamline the claims settlement process and improve efficiency.
  • Analyse claim data and trends to develop key insights and identify areas for improvement.
  • Establish negotiation strategies and implement them to support business claim cost outcomes.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant compliance and regulatory obligations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address areas for improvement in the claims process.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in a leadership role in the insurance industry or similar.
  • Strong working knowledge of motor insurance claims management relative to applicable legislation, processes and industry best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Exceptional communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage, influence and develop others.
  • High level conceptual, analytical, and problem solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions.
  • High level project management experience, i.e. the ability to deliver results within agreed timeframes.
