About This Opportunity

We are seeking a Perinatal Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Kirk Place, Kogarah. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that involves providing specialist perinatal and infant mental health support to families who are experiencing significant mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide time-limited, intensive specialist perinatal and infant mental health support through direct patient care and consultation for complex perinatal mental health disorders.
  • To work collaboratively with families to identify their needs and develop strategies to support them.
  • To provide high-level clinical advice and develop education tools or programs to support service excellence.
  • To contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practice in perinatal mental health care.
Selection Criteria
  • A relevant qualification in social work, occupational therapy or psychology, and extensive postgraduate clinical experience in mental health.
  • Excellent negotiation, decision-making and advocacy skills, with ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to provide consultation both within and outside the organisation.
  • Experience leading quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes.
  • Current unrestricted NSW driver's licence and willingness to travel.
