
Perinatal Mental Health Clinician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced perinatal clinician to provide psychological support to women and their partners who are experiencing or at risk of developing perinatal depressive, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering face-to-face psychological support to individuals who require timely, appropriate, and supportive care. They will also provide support to those who have experienced pregnancy or childbirth-related loss, such as stillbirth, miscarriage, or termination.
This is an exciting opportunity to specialise in perinatal mental health and early intervention, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that clients receive comprehensive care. We offer:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Demonstrated proficiency in comprehensive psychological assessment and evidence-based therapy relevant to expectant and new parents with perinatal mental health issues
- AHPRA registration with endorsements in psychology or accreditation as a mental health social worker
- At least 3 years post-registration experience, with specific experience working with perinatal clients or in a complementary field
- Demonstrated ability to work within a recovery-oriented model, utilising a person/family centred approach
- Demonstrated high-level communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently under approved professional supervision
- Effective caseload management
- Gidget Foundation Australia COVID-19 Vaccination Policy requires all clinicians delivering a face-to-face service to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19

Key Requirements- Comprehensive psychological assessment and evidence-based therapy expertise
- Registration with AHPRA or accreditation as a mental health social worker
- Minimum 3 years post-registration experience in perinatal client care

- High-level communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
