Job Summary:

Improve Maternal Mental Health Outcomes

This key position plays a pivotal role in enhancing outcomes for mothers with complex mental health needs and their infants.

The successful candidate will deliver expert mental health support to mothers and infants up to 24 months, drive clinical practice excellence, and develop research initiatives to improve perinatal mental health services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist mental health care to mothers and infants
  • Lead clinical practice and service development
  • Apply research to enhance perinatal mental health services
  • Plan and deliver education and clinical supervision for staff
  • Guide strategic service planning and stakeholder collaboration

About the Team:

You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team within Western Sydney Local Health District, a leading healthcare provider offering primary, secondary, and tertiary care to residents of Auburn, Blacktown, The Hills Shire, Holroyd, and Parramatta Local Government Areas.

The Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Service is a small specialist service supporting perinatal women across Western Sydney Local Health District.
