Job Title:
We are seeking a Perinatal Mental Health Specialist to deliver face-to-face psychological support at our centres, located within family care facilities.
The successful applicant will provide individual, couple and parent-infant therapies to women and their partners experiencing perinatal depressive, anxiety and trauma or stressor-related disorders.
Services include pre-conception counselling, postnatal support for those who have experienced pregnancy or childbirth-related loss, and therapy for expectant and new parents with perinatal mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering comprehensive psychological assessment and evidence-based therapy relevant to expectant and new parents with perinatal mental health issues.
- Providing individualised support to clients with complex needs.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated expertise in perinatal mental health.
- AHPRA registration with endorsements in psychology or accreditation as a mental health social worker.
- At least 3 years post-registration experience, with specific experience working with perinatal clients or in a complementary field.
