Developing Training Strategies
Job Description:The role of a Training Coordinator is to develop and implement effective training strategies that support the needs of apprentices, trainees, employers, and training organisations across the region. This involves working with both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal communities to promote education and employment initiatives, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality training services.
This key role will involve engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including students, employers, and training providers, to increase training and employment participation and completion, especially for Aboriginal learners.
The successful candidate will have a strong local community connection and a commitment to improving outcomes for mob through education and training.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- A culturally aware and people-focused approach to working with Aboriginal communities and service users.
- Strong project and program management skills, with experience managing people and leading teams in an administrative or service delivery setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience with VET sector, apprenticeships, and traineeships.
- Knowledge of the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG.
