Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Risk and Control Analytics Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for enabling operational leadership in the delivery of our risk management strategy, ensuring compliance and protection of the company. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to communicate complex data insights to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Analyse data to better understand potential and emerging risks, supporting a targeted controls assurance program.
- Aggregate data from multiple sources to provide a comprehensive assessment of risk exposure.
- Provide technical leadership and expertise in the continual assessment of process, policy, and external changes and their potential impact on the department's risk profile and risk appetite.
- Support cost control/avoidance initiatives to enhance and protect our strategy, underwriting discipline, and operating rhythm.
- Maintain reasonable knowledge of regulatory and industry compliance requirements.
- 3-5 years' business leadership experience within the financial services industry, preferably insurance.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, engage, and develop others.
- Specific experience and associated understanding and knowledge of current and emerging regulatory, commercial, technology, and operational trends in Australia.
- Self-motivated with an ability to work autonomously to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to build and sustain effective relationships both internally and externally.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and influencing ability.
- Ability to translate complex analysis into clear action.
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills.
