Job Title: Rooms Division Instructor

The Rooms Division Instructor is a key role within our Post Graduate Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School, responsible for the ongoing development and training of our students in the Rooms Division area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive training and support to students in the Front Office and Housekeeping areas, ensuring they meet the standards set by the Front Office Manager and Executive Housekeeper.
  • Ensure all students have access to the necessary equipment and supplies for their training.
  • Organize and manage the student roster for the campus front desk, ensuring adequate coverage.
  • Assist with the implementation of new standard operating policies and procedures, and ensure adherence to existing ones.
  • Collaborate closely with the academic team to provide a holistic learning experience for our students.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a manager or supervisor in a 4-5-star hotel or resort environment.
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping services, with the ability to train and develop students.
  • A passion for developing and training others.
  • A Certificate IV in Hospitality or equivalent, and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) are desirable but not essential.
