Technical Operations Manager

The Technical Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing technical and production operations at a regional theatre and convention centre. This includes managing a team, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure smooth delivery of productions, events, and community experiences.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and rostering the technical team to maintain safety, compliance, and high-quality service.
  • Operating audio, lighting, staging, and vision systems for live shows, conferences, and events.
  • Coordinating technical requirements, set-ups, and pack-downs.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar technical or production leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of audio, lighting, AV, and staging systems.
  • Sound understanding of Work Health & Safety, risk management, and compliance in event/venue environments.
