The Technical Team Leader will oversee technical and production operations, ensuring venues deliver exceptional productions, events, and community experiences.
- Lead a small technical team focusing on safety, compliance, and high-quality service.
- Operate audio, lighting, staging, and vision systems for live shows, conferences, and events.
- Coordinate technical requirements, set-ups, and pack-downs.
- Manage costings and technical estimates.
- Maintain venue equipment and infrastructure to industry standards.
- Oversee inductions, risk management, and WHS practices.
This is a key leadership position that requires strong technical expertise in live performance and event production.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise, train, and roster staff to ensure effective team operation.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to WHS regulations.
- Coordinate technical logistics for events and productions.
- Manage budgets and costings for technical operations.
We are looking for a skilled leader with hands-on technical experience in live performance and event production.
Essential skills and qualifications include:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar technical or production leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of audio, lighting, AV, and staging systems.
- Sound understanding of Work Health & Safety, risk management, and compliance in event/venue environments.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
- Relevant qualifications in technical production or project management.
- Current Class C driver's license.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Experience in local government or regional venue (desirable).
