Technical Team Leader Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Team Leader to oversee technical operations at our venues. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to delivering exceptional productions, events, and community experiences.

This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service. As a Technical Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a small technical team, managing equipment and infrastructure, and coordinating technical requirements for live shows, conferences, and events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading the technical team with a focus on safety, compliance, and high-quality service.
  • Operating audio, lighting, staging, and vision systems for live performances, conferences, and events.
  • Coordinating technical requirements, set-ups, and pack-downs.
  • Managing budgets and costings for technical estimates.
  • Maintaining venue equipment and infrastructure to industry standards.
  • Overseeing inductions, risk management, and WHS practices.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar technical or production leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of audio, lighting, AV, and staging systems.
  • Sound understanding of Work Health & Safety, risk management, and compliance in event/venue environments.
  • Experience supervising, training, and rostering staff.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
  • Working at heights accreditation.
  • Relevant qualifications in technical production or project management.
