Transforming Young Lives with Compassionate Healthcare
We seek a dedicated General Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team, providing primary healthcare and holistic support to young people aged 12 to 25.
The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality care, with a focus on women's health, AOD, or mental health. We offer the opportunity to develop skills in these areas through additional training.
This is a part-time position, offering flexibility to work up to four days per week.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive primary health care to young people, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, referral, and advocacy.
- Order and follow up on diagnostic tests, ensuring results are communicated and appropriate recalls are managed.
- Collaborate and refer to external providers, including general practices, specialists, and allied health services.
- Document clinical care accurately, meeting medical, privacy, and reporting standards.
- Provide clinical guidance to the treating team, actively contributing to quality improvement and service excellence.
- Uphold trauma-informed and culturally inclusive practices, aligning with Anglicare's values.
- Participate in supervision, training, and professional development, maintaining vocational registration and knowledge of General Practice standards.
Requirements:
- Vocational Registration as a GP, with ongoing participation in quality assurance and continuing professional development.
- Minimum of 2 years as a General Practitioner, with knowledge of the needs of vulnerable young people and their families.
- Strong organisational, planning, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
