Primary Healthcare Provider

We are seeking a dedicated healthcare professional to join our multidisciplinary team at The Junction Youth Health Service.

The ideal candidate will have a broad range of interests and may have experience in women's health, AOD or mental health. Support will be available to undertake additional training to develop skills.

  • Deliver comprehensive primary health care to young people and their children, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, referral, and advocacy.
  • Collaborate and refer to external providers, including general practices, specialists, and allied health services across the region.
  • Document clinical care accurately to meet medical, privacy, and reporting standards.
  • Uphold trauma-informed and culturally inclusive practices, including implementation of the Sanctuary Model and alignment with values.

Vocational Registration as a GP, with ongoing participation in quality assurance and continuing professional development, is essential.

A minimum of 2 years as a General Practitioner, with knowledge of the needs of vulnerable young people and their families, is preferred.

Strong organisational, planning, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, are required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

General Practitioner registration, 2+ years of experience, and strong interpersonal skills are necessary for this role.
