Therapeutic Youth Care Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Therapeutic Youth Worker to provide high-quality therapeutic support to vulnerable children and young people.

This vital role focuses on supporting young people with complex needs who require emotional, social, and behavioural support. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver therapeutic care that promotes the well-being of these young individuals.

About The Role

This position is designed for motivated and resilient professionals who possess excellent communication skills and can think on their feet. You will be required to work a variety of shifts, including sleepovers and active nights, to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Must possess a Cert IV in Community Services or Youth Work (or related) or higher, or be willing to obtain.
  • Hold a valid and current Driver's License.
  • Meet satisfactory Criminal History Check requirements (paid for by us).
  • Have a valid Employee Working with Vulnerable People Check.

Key Selection Criteria
  • Proven ability to work therapeutically with young people facing social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.
  • Able to follow case plans, behaviour support plans, and safety plans for young people with complex needs.
  • Ability to role model and reinforce positive behaviour through social learning, social responsibility, and emotional intelligence.
  • Assist young people to develop independent living and life skills.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of individual plans that support the emotional, social, and behavioural needs of young people.
