The Injury Management and Return to Work (RTW) Support team plays a critical role in delivering high-quality claims management services. The team oversees the integrity of medical information related to Comcare claims.

The team facilitates a community of practice for injury management advisors working on claims. This focus is essential for improving RTW practice across Australian Public Service (APS) agencies and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

The Assistant Director, RTW Support leads a team responsible for driving standards of rehabilitation and RTW practice across Comcare and employers. The team implements projects to enhance capability and RTW outcomes.

  • Contributing to corporate plans and claims management strategies
  • Driving rehabilitation and RTW practice across claims management operations
  • Leading monitoring of RTW practice across APS agencies
  • Implementing projects to improve rehabilitation and RTW approaches and capability
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to achieve consistent rehabilitation and RTW

Requirements:

This position requires leadership skills, experience in rehabilitation, and strong communication abilities. Mandatory qualifications include tertiary qualifications in medical or allied health. Registration with relevant professional associations and experience in the rehabilitation industry are highly desirable.
