Job Overview

The Injury Management and Return to Work Support team plays a vital role in delivering a high-performing claims management service. The team ensures the integrity of medical information related to Comcare claims, including management of Comcare's Clinical Panel, independent medical examinations, and monitoring medical providers.

The team facilitates a network or community of practice for injury management advisors working on claims. They focus on RTW practice across Australian Public Service (APS) agencies and projects to improve performance and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to corporate goals and claims management strategy and operating model.
  • Drive rehabilitation and RTW practice across claims management operations in line with the claims management strategy, including achievement of claims management targets and contributing to successful completion of improvement projects.
  • Lead monitoring of RTW practice across APS agencies and implement projects to improve rehabilitation and RTW approaches and capability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver consistent rehabilitation and RTW, positive claim outcomes, sharing information, and better practice.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in medical or allied health.
  • Registration with the relevant medical or allied health professional association (highly desirable).
  • Experience working in the rehabilitation industry or practical experience in rehabilitation and/or return to work.
