Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor, Basic and Clinical Science

The University of Notre Dame Australia is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Academic Leader to join our team as a Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Basic and Clinical Sciences. This is a key leadership position that will play a critical role in shaping the future of medical education at our institution.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Basic and Clinical Sciences domain in the Fremantle Doctor of Medicine program, providing strategic direction and vision for the development of curriculum and teaching methods.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching methods and assessments that align with the latest pedagogical advances and best practices in medical education.
- Contribute to the review and renewal of the Basic and Clinical Sciences curriculum and learning objectives, ensuring they remain relevant and effective in preparing students for the medical profession.
- Collaborate with the assessment team to design and implement formative, summative, and continuous assessments that evaluate student learning and progress.
- Liaise with Biomedical Sciences and other related programs at The University of Notre Dame Australia to ensure seamless integration and coordination of teaching and research activities.
- Represent the Basic and Clinical Sciences domain on various committees and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that impact medical education.
- Supervise and conduct research in areas related to medical education, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and best practices in the field.
- Adhere to University policies, procedures, and additional duties as assigned.
- Possess a PhD or equivalent accreditation and standing in a relevant field.
- Have significant experience teaching at the Masters level or in medical, health, or professional practice education.
- Demonstrate academic excellence through exceptional teaching, research, or professional contributions.
- Proven leadership in major educational initiatives and enhancements at school/division and university levels.
- Sustained contributions to staff development through leadership in peer review and mentorship.
- Record of peer-reviewed publications and citations in top educational journals.
- Recognized as an authority or nationally renowned in your discipline.
- Leadership in digital pedagogical enhancements, governance, and management of the school, and significant external engagement.
