Academic Sessional Instructor

The School of Medicine at The University of Notre Dame Australia is seeking expressions of interest from registered medical practitioners and professionals in related fields who have a passion for teaching.
Teaching opportunities are available in the Preclinical or Clinical Years of the Medical program, including Problem-Based Learning (PBL) tutoring, Clinical Debriefing (CD) tutoring, Clinical Skills tutoring, and Research Training Pathway tutoring.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct teaching/tutorials/workshops/lectures to the standard of the Faculty.
- Prepare for topics and facilitate group discussions relating to the content.
- Consult with students in relation to learning and assessment.
- Participate in assessment activities, including marking and providing feedback.
- Attend meetings as required by the Course Coordinator.
- Hold a College Fellowship, a trainee position in a Fellowship Program, or a Ph.D. in a relevant area.
- Clinical Skills: a medical degree registrable with the Medical Board of Australia, plus at least one of the following: a College Fellowship or progress towards (e.g., FRACP, FRACGP, etc.) and/or a Ph.D. in a field aligned with the research and teaching activities of the School.
- Research Tutors: a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline.
