About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Learning Development Leader to join our team at The University of Queensland.

In this key role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative capability programs that empower staff across the university. You will oversee key staff development initiatives and drive the strategic vision of UQ's Learning and Development strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Coordinate University-Wide Review: Conduct a comprehensive review of existing learning and development offerings to identify key staff development needs.
  • Develop and Implement Staff Learning Strategy: Manage the development and implementation of the UQ Staff Learning and Development strategy, including the staff study program and other relevant initiatives.
  • Implement Staff Development Programs: Manage the implementation of relevant staff development programs, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and collaborating with HR Leadership and senior management.
  • Oversight of Learning Management System: Oversight of UQ's learning management system (Workday) and associated governance processes and continuous user improvement initiatives.

The Human Resources Division is responsible for enabling achievement of the University's strategic ambitions through attracting, developing and retaining talented, engaged and high performing staff.

Our division provides high quality human resource management guidance and expertise, through effective policy development, constructive advice and efficient administrative services.
