Job Title: Regional Specification Manager - Drainage Solutions Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced specification sales professional to join our team as a Regional Specification Manager - Drainage Solutions Specialist. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for raising our client's profile among key customers in the South West region, including architects, consultants, and main contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers to ensure our client is their first choice for drainage solutions.
  • Understand the specification process with major contractors, consultants, engineers, architects, and D&B contractors.
  • Raise our client's profile within their existing specification base and build new relationships.
  • Identify and pursue new specification and project opportunities.
  • Review and progress leads generated by NBS Source and our client's brand-specific websites.
  • Defend specifications and target/break competitors' specifications.
  • Deliver training and product presentations to contractors and CPD presentations to consultants, architects, contractors, and developers.
  • Take projects from inception to main contractor on-site stage, gaining specification for as many projects as possible.
  • Promote and sell new product ranges.
  • Assist with new product development as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with the area sales manager to hand over projects at an agreed stage.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in specification sales, with a strong knowledge of the building products supply chain.
  • Experience in selling drainage, civils, or water management products is considered an advantage.
  • Ability to problem-solve and offer technical assistance at the project design stage.
  • Knowledge of reading site drawings is essential.
  • Existing relationships with architects, engineers, main contractors, and developers are essential.
  • Previous experience managing a similar-sized geographical area is advantageous.
