Regional Operations Manager

The St Nicholas Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Operations Manager to oversee the operations of a portfolio of Out of School Hours (OOSH) services within a region.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and support a team of OOSH Nominated Supervisors to provide high-quality education and care to children.
- Work in partnership with the Quality Assurance and Staffing teams within St Nicholas to ensure the delivery of exceptional services.
- Develop and implement best practice procedures in administrative, curriculum development, parent and community liaison, staff professional development, and training.
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and maintain a safe working environment.
- Develop and set up new OOSH services, ensuring they meet all quality areas to a high standard.
- Manage complex situations, including matters of escalation, and make informed decisions to drive business outcomes.
- Act as a Nominated Supervisor under the Children (Education and Care Services National Law Application) Bill 2010 and Education and Care Services National Regulations.
- Support the implementation of the Early Years Learning Framework and My Time Our Place curriculum for School Aged Children.
- Manage the financial performance of OOSH services, ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
- Travel to multiple locations across regional areas of the Diocese to support service delivery and operations.
- Minimum 5 years' demonstrated experience in a supervisory/management position in the childcare sector or similar.
- Proven best practice ability in all areas of administrative procedure, curriculum development, parent and community liaison, staff professional development, and training.
- Understanding and working knowledge of WHS legislation.
- Proven ability in the development and set up of new OOSH services.
- Prior experience and demonstrated understanding of auditing OOSH services to ensure they are meeting all quality areas to a high standard.
- Proven ability to manage a large team in high-quality service provision.
- Ability to manage complex situations, including matters of escalation.
- Be willing to accept the role of Nominated Supervisor under the Children (Education and Care Services National Law Application) Bill 2010 and Education and Care Services National Regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully support the Early Years Learning Framework and My Time Our Place curriculum for School Aged Children.
- Previous experience in successfully managing the financial performance of OOSH services.
- Willingness to travel to multiple locations across regional areas of the Diocese.
- Diploma in Children's Services or Degree in Early Childhood Teaching as identified by Australian Children's Education and Care Authority or business-related qualification or demonstrated professional experience.
- Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Management.
- DEC approved child protection training certificate.
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Current Class C Driver's Licence.
- National Criminal History check clearance.
