About the Role

Rockwell Automation is seeking a skilled Proposal Engineer to join our team in Australia or New Zealand. As a key member of our proposal team, you will be responsible for developing and managing technical and commercial proposals to meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and develop proposals that meet customer requirements and align with our business goals.
  • Develop commercial offers that are compliant with our internal policies and procedures.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for customers, sales teams, and business units.
  • Lead standardization efforts for proposals, tools, and processes.
  • Work with sales, consultants, and specialists to assess and respond to IT/OT, engineering, consulting, project, and support services opportunities.
  • Understand customer needs and position and quote desired outcomes for solutions.
  • Manage the proposal process from bid request to approval.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience as an estimator, proposal engineer, or contract/project/application engineering focused position.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Rockwell Automation's application value and knowledge of automation products.
  • Good application and industry knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a challenging environment with internal and external customers.
  • Strong solution and application expertise, and related sales experience.
  • Strong command of English (written and spoken).
  • Ability to work with senior-level personnel and influence critical stakeholders.
  • Ability to resolve complex issues creatively and effectively.
