About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Venue Manager to join our dedicated team. This key role involves supporting the Restaurant Manager and Directors in overseeing the smooth day-to-day operations of the venue, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring the team remains motivated and knowledgeable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Staff Training & Management: Provide guidance and support to staff members to ensure they meet high standards of service and knowledge.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience for patrons.
  • Operational Support: Assist in the day-to-day operations of the venue, including managing stock, ordering procedures, and maintaining presentation and cleanliness standards.
  • Revenue Growth: Contribute to revenue growth through effective event coordination and marketing initiatives.
  • System Management: Ensure efficient use of hospitality systems, such as IMPOS, to streamline operations.
  • Security & Safety: Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and patrons.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in coordinating events and promotions to drive sales and increase customer engagement.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospitality management role, preferably in a similar setting.
  • Knowledge and Skills: In-depth knowledge of front-of-house operations, including cocktail service and wine knowledge. Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage a team and engage with customers effectively.
  • Qualifications: Current RSA certificate is required.
  • Passion and Attitude: A passion for great food, wine, and customer service, with a proactive and hands-on approach to training and supporting staff.

Compensation Package

We offer a competitive salary package, estimated to be around AU$65,000 - AU$80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will enjoy a range of benefits, including professional development opportunities and a collaborative work environment.
