The Opportunity: As our new Lead Kitchen Operations Manager, you will play a key role in establishing the operational foundations of Maison Bâtard, guiding your team through the challenges of a new opening and setting the stage for long-term success.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Senior Sous or Sous Chef in a premium a-la-carte restaurant
  • Demonstrated success in leading a high-performing team
  • Passion for global cuisine trends
  • Understanding of financial budgets, food and labour costs
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations, inventory management, and food safety standards
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships
  • Proactive problem-solving attitude with a commitment to continuous learning
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to remain composed under pressure
  • Outgoing personality and genuine interest in day-to-day operations
  • Qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Availability to work a rotating roster including weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts
