Job Description:
The Salvation Army is a leading Christian movement and one of Australia's largest charities, providing support to thousands of Australians every year. We are seeking a dedicated After Hours Specialist Practitioner for our Family Violence Program. You will provide case management, outreach crisis response, and support to victim survivors in crisis accommodation who have experienced or are experiencing family violence.
About the Role:
- Provide holistic support services and establish community connections with victim survivors.
- Offer case management and crisis support to victim survivors.
- Support others in challenging situations and acknowledge outcomes achieved through effective collaboration.
- Be available on-call over the 24-hour period during weekends and public holidays, as well as weekdays, to respond to requests for support.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and data for all clients.
- Stay updated on reforms and resources in family violence and related sectors to support victim survivors requiring crisis and case management support.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work (essential).
- Experience working in the family violence sector (desirable).
- Experience in specialist family violence and/or child well-being work (highly desirable).
- Demonstrated case management experience and skills.
- Highly developed time management and work prioritization skills with the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision required.
- Advanced computer skills, including experience in data and record management.
