**Job Title:** Victim Support Worker

About the Role

The Victim Support Worker plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality service to victim-survivors of family violence and crime victims in Victoria. This includes acting as the first point of contact for enquiries, providing trauma-informed case management, and ensuring safety and well-being.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Respond to calls, electronic referrals, and text messages on the Helpline
  • Provide advocacy and support to victim survivors of family violence, focusing on their safety and well-being
  • Maintain accurate records of work activities in accordance with privacy legislative requirements and policies
About You

We are seeking an experienced professional with:

  • A minimum of two years of practice experience in the family violence sector or a specialist family violence service, with expertise in working with victims of crime
  • Knowledge of the Victims Support service system and associated legislation, as well as the broader service system (legal, mental health, and housing services)
Mandatory Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent formal learning
  • Completion of the MARAM Framework, including risk assessments and predominant aggressor identification
