Role Overview:

The Category Analyst will support the development and execution of the Category and Channel Strategy for Blackmores, a leading natural health company with a proud Australian heritage. This role is responsible for analysing market trends, competitor activity, and customer behaviour to inform business decisions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Support Category Development Managers: Develop 5Ps strategies by channel that include pricing and promotional frameworks, focusing on market and competitive analysis, ROI, alignment with customer strategy, and market share, sales, margin, and trade spend objectives.">
  • Assortment Recommendations: Create recommendations for product assortment across Blackmores based on Pharmacy channel strategy to meet shopper needs, providing priority ranking and distribution targets for each channel.">
  • Planogram Recommendations: Lead planogram recommendations across Pharmacy channels.">
  • Customer Performance Review: Proactively review key customers by channel and detail relevant performance data, generating insights and communicating them across the business.">

Requirements:

">

To succeed in this role, you should possess a bachelor's degree in marketing, commerce, international business, or a related discipline. At least 1-2 years of category development work or experience as a category or sales analyst role, product management in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), consumer healthcare, retailers, or a related organisation is required. Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and ability to translate data into actionable insights are essential.

Salary Range:

$85,000 - $105,000 per annum, depending on experience.
