The Role
We're seeking an experienced Category Management Specialist to join our Big W Commercial team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing category strategies that drive sales growth, profitability, and market share. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including sourcing, graphic packaging design, marketing, and stores, to deliver targeted promotional programs and optimize range offerings.
About You
We're looking for someone with a proven track record in category management or buying, particularly in the homewares space. Your expertise will help us build trusted relationships within the BIG W business, collaborate with other stakeholders, and deliver results-driven initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Curate ranges, refined GBB competitive pricing & product architecture in line with Category Strategy, using Customer and Market insights
- Partner with group sourcing & Graphic Packaging Design Team to maximise own brand offers & grow customer advocacy
- Manage key strategic Initiatives, as well as deliver targets on sales growth, profitability and market share. Build and manage an effective and sustainable end to end promotional program.
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to implement promotional activity effectively
- Deliver optimum ranges via a planned review schedule, offering choice that is store tailored, reflective of the category roles, incorporates changing customer trends and utilises focused customer insight
