The Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture is a 50/50 joint venture between CPB Contractors and Downer to undertake major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities to support Defence capability for the next 30 years.

The proposed project consists of a program of works across three Department of Defence establishments including:

  • Albury Wodonga Military Area (including North, South & East Bandiana, Latchford Barracks, Wirlinga)
  • Blamey Barracks (Kapooka)
  • RAAF Base Wagga

The estimated capital investment of $1.7 billion will incorporate a variety of elements including:

  • Construction of new messing and living in accommodation
  • Construction of new training facilities
  • Refurbishment and upgrading of existing buildings
  • Remedial works and upgrades to infrastructure services

As a Senior Project Engineer at CPB Contractors, you will be responsible for effectively coordinating the design, procurement and construction elements of the project to ensure safety, time, cost and environmental objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To contribute to a culture of 'Safety underpins everything we do'
  • To actively coordinate procurement and coordinate construction elements
  • To actively manage the short and long-term construction planning for the works
  • To develop/monitor KPI and productivity analysis against program and budget
  • To actively liaise with subcontractors/suppliers and work with site personnel
  • To ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and all relevant Company and Group policies and processes
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Previous experience in commercial large construction projects
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and reporting against cost and time
  • Strong understanding of programme management, deadlines and budget controls
  • Strong attitude and awareness of Safety
  • High-level verbal and written communication skills
About the Role:

This role is based in either the Albury Wodonga area or Riverina/Wagga Wagga. We offer an attractive relocation package that includes removalist costs and LAFHA (for eligible individuals) OR FIDO/DIDO options available.
