About Parklife Metro JV

Parklife Metro JV is a leading joint venture project connecting St Marys to Bradfield, linking with the new Western Sydney Airport currently under construction. This transformative metro project will deliver 6 new stations, 12 metro trains, core rail systems, and a state-of-the-art stabling and maintenance facility at Orchard Hills.

As one of the biggest PPP projects in NSW, this $5 billion initiative will leave a lasting legacy for the Greater Western Sydney community.

The Opportunity: Site Engineer

As a Site Engineer, you will plan and sequence construction activities, track costs, manage subcontractors, interface with design management and construction delivery team. Employed by Webuild, this role is a full-time opportunity based on-site in Badgerys Creek.

This is an ideal next step for someone with a strong background in buildings and structures.

  • You will contribute to a safe work culture and ensure works are delivered to legislative and project standards.
  • Review and understand construction drawings, specifications, and method statements.
  • Develop methods for precast elements installation for bridges, station structure, and facade panels.
  • Identify project challenges and drive the development and implementation of solutions.
  • Liaise, communicate, and plan with foreman and subcontractors on a daily basis to achieve target outcomes.
  • Ensure project delivery is compliant with project standards.
  • Ensure works are delivered to quality standards and complete all relevant documentation.
  • Participate in and maintain cost management of daily activities.
  • Prepare documentation for procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Assist in preparation of daily meetings, weekly reports, 3-week lookahead programs, etc. as required.
  • Monitor progress and quality of works by conducting inspections, taking photos, and reporting back to the Project Engineer & Senior Project Engineer as necessary.
  • Evaluate allocated work packages and resources to ensure costs are within or below budget and contribute to achieving project targets.
  • Maintain Concrete and Reinforcement tracking registers.
  • Assist in procurement of major packages, materials, and resources.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering (Civil, Structural) or Project Management.
  • 2+ years experience minimum within the Construction industry post-graduation.
  • Previous exposure to building and structural projects.

An estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications.
