Job Title: Disaster Support Coordinator

  • Strategically coordinate support for homeowners impacted by disaster events, ensuring timely and effective assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Improve customer experience for applicants navigating complex rebuilds of their home by implementing best practices and clear communication strategies.
  • Develop case management approaches for SAG applications, supporting pathways for psycho-social support, securing funding commitments, and completing development applications in accordance with relevant legislation.
  • Facilitate communication between applicants, councils, builders, trades, suppliers, government agencies, and community organisations.
  • Represent the department at interagency meetings and forums to strengthen relationships and enhance service coordination.
  • Track and review recipient experiences to identify patterns and support ongoing improvements in service delivery and community outcomes.
  • Assist in identifying operational risks and preparing advice that balances business goals with policy compliance.
  • Prepare accurate reports, work plans, and submissions to support informed decision-making and program enhancements.
  • Maintain documentation in accordance with DRFA guidelines, Community Recovery policies, and local government procedures.
