Disaster Rebuild Support Specialist

The role of a Community Recovery Grants Officer involves supporting individuals who have experienced property damage or loss due to disasters. As part of the team dedicated to enhancing the customer experience, you will work strategically to coordinate and support applicants navigating complex rebuilds of their homes.
This position requires you to form relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, community organisations, and industry partners, to enhance service coordination and applicant support. You will also contribute to improving the customer experience for applicants by implementing customer service best practices and assisting in developing case management approaches for complex applications.
Key Responsibilities:- Customer Service Coordination: Support applicants through the rebuild process, ensuring clear, compassionate, and efficient assistance.
- Case Management: Develop and implement case management approaches for complex applications, including securing funding commitments and facilitating communication between stakeholders.
- Relationship Building: Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service coordination and applicant support.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare accurate reports and analyses to support informed decision-making and program enhancements.
- Similar Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in disaster recovery and management.
- Project Management Skills: Demonstrable experience in project and/or case management within a statutory framework.
