Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in the APAC region. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and revenue in the region through strategic business development and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with stakeholders to achieve regional business revenue and margin expectations, with a focus on generating sustainable double-digit year-on-year growth.
  • Expand business in Tier I and Tier II channel partners, identifying and developing new opportunities for growth.
  • Participate in and execute Country Business plans, with clear strategies and tactics for implementation.
  • Develop and manage channel strategies to drive consistent growth, while managing variations and ensuring effective communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Operate through inter-departmental communication and coordination to fulfill enquiry to order and order to fulfillment and shipment cycles.
  • Liaise and coordinate with other NORMA Group setups within APAC and beyond, regarding corporate and business development programs.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner, consistent with Corporate and Country guidelines and laws.
  • Engage with NORMA Group product and marketing managers, as well as peers from other regions, to drive commitment and growth for NORMA Group products.
  • Obtain mindshare of channel members, rank-and-file staff, for NORMA Group products and programs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Business Development, preferably in the Mining or New Energy sector.
  • Post-graduate qualification in Sales and Marketing is preferred.
  • Demonstrated commercial analytical experience and strong reporting skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop effective customer working relationships.
  • Able to build, maintain, and analyze knowledge of market conditions and trends, and customer activities/competitive responses.
  • Effective negotiation skills.
  • Experience in developing and monitoring sales budgets and targets.
  • Proven knowledge of customer relationship management, including assessing customer needs, meeting customer expectations, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
  • Strategic focus with hands-on approach.
  • Experience with eCRM systems.
  • Proven track record in negotiating with key stakeholders.
  • Skilled at building rapport, opening doors, and understanding business requirements of senior decision makers.
  • Ability to elicit needs from key decision makers.
