We are seeking a highly skilled Flood Resilience Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a fundamental role in enhancing flood resilience across Queensland.

Your expertise as a specialist will be crucial in evaluating the cost-effectiveness of projects and conducting thorough assessments of homes to evaluate flood impact and resilient outcomes.

">Key Responsibilities:">

  • Project Evaluation and Assessment: Assess and analyse the cost-effectiveness of projects, with a focus on quality, while conducting on-site and desktop assessments of homes to evaluate flood impact and resilient outcomes.">
  • Value for Money Assessments: Conduct Value for Money (VFM) assessments utilising RHF tools and systems, ensuring accuracy in compliance with VFM guidelines. Identify areas for improvement in flood resilience and recommend strategies to enhance home resilience.">
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively communicate with homeowners and licensed contractors, conducting on-site visits and desktop interactions to educate them about flood risk, resilient building design, materials, and technical aspects related to flood resilience.">
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to gather insights, share experiences, and identify best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the program.">
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with program stakeholders, ensuring alignment and successful delivery of products and services.">
  • Leadership Support: Support the leadership in mentoring and guiding the team to achieve excellence in performance and stakeholder satisfaction, maintaining a schedule of assessments, managing data collection, and providing on-site and desktop support to homeowners.">

This role involves a combination of office-based and remote work, including assessments conducted on-site at people's homes. Travel for training or stakeholder engagement is required.
