Job Summary

The Flood Resilience Program seeks a senior project manager to lead its planning phase, overseeing the development of multi-options analyses, detailed business cases, and ministerial infrastructure designations.


About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced project manager to work on a high-profile program aimed at creating stronger, safer, and more flood-resilient schools in Queensland.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop comprehensive plans and reports, including multi-options analyses, detailed business cases, and ministerial infrastructure designations, with minimal supervision
  2. Collaborate with external consultant teams to deliver high-quality work within tight timeframes
  3. Assist with procurement activities for engaging external consultants and ensure effective contract management
  4. Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and school representatives
  5. Provide expert advice to management and other stakeholders on project-specific matters
  6. Work collaboratively with staff and external consultants to achieve project objectives
  7. Participate in program team meetings and contribute to policies and procedures that support the department's strategic direction on infrastructure resilience
  8. Build and maintain high levels of communication and partnerships with internal units, external agencies, and school stakeholders
  9. Develop and implement project programs to a high standard, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes
