Project Manager Flood Resilience Program Job Summary


  • We seek a skilled Project Manager to lead the planning phase of the Flood Resilience Program in Queensland.
  • The successful candidate will develop multi-options analyses, Detailed Business Cases, and Ministerial Infrastructure Designations for the program with minimal supervision.
  • Key responsibilities include coordinating and leading external consultant teams, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and providing project-specific advice to management.

Responsibilities
  • Develop multi-options analyses, Detailed Business Cases, and Ministerial Infrastructure Designations for the Flood Resilience Program
  • Coordinate and lead external consultant teams to deliver work within condensed timeframes
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholder groups and agencies
  • Provide project-specific advice to management and liaise with other units as required

Requirements
  • Experience on government infrastructure projects and leadership of multi-disciplinary project teams preferred
  • Project Management skills and ability to oversee multiple concurrent education projects
  • Strong communication and partnership-building skills to achieve project objectives
  • Ability to develop and maintain high-quality project programs
  • Undertake project risk assessments to ensure project and corporate risks are captured and mitigated

About the Program

The Flood Resilience Program is a Queensland Government initiative aiming to create stronger, safer, and more flood-resilient schools.

The program oversees and implements the initiative to inform an overarching infrastructure planning and design process, improving flood risk management and reducing flood impacts.

The successful candidate will be supported by the Flood Resilience Program team with specialists to support the required deliverables.
