The Role

We're seeking an experienced Australasian Water Business Engineering Leader to lead our program of pursuits and delivery of detailed design projects. As a key member of the project leadership team, you'll ensure the successful delivery of complex, multidisciplinary water and wastewater projects, coordinating design teams across multiple offices and disciplines.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, direct, and challenge design teams to deliver technically robust, sustainable, integrated solutions that align with project objectives.
  • Manage project risks and work with team members and partners to resolve escalated issues.
  • Negotiate and manage contractual arrangements, including Alliance contracts and Design and Construct contracts.
  • Support Business Development and Team Leadership activities within the Australasian water business.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in an Engineering discipline.
  • Chartered membership of a relevant institution or equivalent professional body.
  • Thorough appreciation and extensive experience working across the value chain of strategically and commercially important water and wastewater infrastructure investments.
  • Experience in detailed design risk management and facilitating the mitigation of project risks.
  • Proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines.
  • Recognised as an expert within the water industry.
  • Demonstrated management and leadership experience in Collaborative and Design and Construct contracting arrangements.
What We Offer

As an employee at Arup, you can expect a competitive salary range: $150,000 - $200,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
