As a Data Science Lead, you will play a key role in spearheading our cutting-edge projects, designing and optimizing AI/ML solutions that propel our strategic initiatives. You will lead innovative AI projects, mentor a growing team of talented engineers, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive data-driven advancements in SA Water.

We are seeking an experienced Lead AI/ML Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Azure Data Landscape (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Azure Machine Learning), Python programming language, and relevant qualifications or certifications in AI/ML development.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, including 2+ years in developing AI/ML solutions. They will also possess strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, experience with ITIL, Microsoft certifications, and analytical thinking.

In this dynamic role, you will design, build, and optimize AI/ML solutions that propel our strategic initiatives. You will lead innovative AI projects, mentor a growing team of talented engineers, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive data-driven advancements in SA Water.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing AI/ML applications that deliver business value.
  • Building predictive models and algorithms for data insights.
  • Monitoring and enhancing AI/ML performance against SLAs.
  • Mentoring engineers and guiding best practices in AI/ML development.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to deliver successful projects.

The estimated salary for this position is around $140,000 - $170,000 per year, depending on experience.
