Arup is a global consultancy that sets the benchmark for sustainable design and engineering. We are seeking an exceptional Australasia Water Business Director of Engineering and Innovation to lead our growing water business in the region.

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in water infrastructure and a passion for innovative solutions. As a Australasia Water Business Director of Engineering and Innovation, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of complex water projects, leading high-performing teams, and developing strategic partnerships with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery: Lead the delivery of multiple water infrastructure projects across Australasia, ensuring timely completion, within budget, and meeting client expectations.
  • Team Leadership: Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration among team members, providing guidance, mentorship, and opportunities for growth and development.
  • Business Development: Develop and implement strategies to grow the water business, identifying new opportunities, and building relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with project delivery, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and budgets.
  • Clients and Stakeholders: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met, and their expectations are exceeded.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: A degree in an engineering discipline or related field, with a Chartered status or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in water infrastructure projects, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Skillset: Strong technical expertise, excellent leadership and communication skills, ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
