About the Role
An opportunity exists for a Physiotherapy Assistant to join the Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy teams at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne. The primary responsibility will be to assist physiotherapists and occupational therapists on the Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) ward.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementation of treatment plans as directed, including exercises, mobility assistance, ADL retraining, and gait aid provision.
- Accurate monitoring and evaluation of patient programs and conditions.
- Maintain effective communication with team members, reporting back to supervising physiotherapists regarding patient management and progress.
- Administration duties to support daily operations of the Physiotherapy department.
Your Contribution
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Good interpersonal communication skills.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to undertake a broad range of patient and non-patient related tasks.
- A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) or willingness to obtain.
