The Role: Physiotherapy Team Lead

We are seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join our Pelvic Health Physiotherapy team as a Team Lead. This fixed-term full-time position (until March 2025) will provide an opportunity to showcase your leadership skills, clinical expertise, and passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

About the Position

This role offers a unique chance to lead a multidisciplinary team, develop and implement best-practice protocols, and promote evidence-based practice. You will be responsible for supervising junior physiotherapy staff and Allied Health Assistants, as well as educating undergraduate physiotherapy students. If you have a strong background in Maternity, Pelvic Health, and Continence physiotherapy, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of leadership and initiative, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Lead and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of Allied Health Assistants
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
  • Degree-qualified Physiotherapist with significant experience in Maternity, Pelvic Health, and Continence physiotherapy
  • Proven leadership and mentoring skills, with experience in supervising junior staff members
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, promoting interprofessional practice and shared decision-making
  • Knowledge of best-practice protocols and guidelines in pelvic health physiotherapy, with a commitment to ongoing professional development
