Senior Water Resources Engineer

About the Role

As a pivotal member of KBR's Water Resources division, you will engage in a diverse array of stimulating projects that enhance your expertise and maintain your interest. Daily tasks may include constructing and fine-tuning comprehensive catchment flood models or collaborating on the design of significant infrastructure initiatives, both locally and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hydrological and hydraulic assessments and designs for various studies, encompassing rural and urban flood analyses, transportation and mining infrastructure, floodplain management, water balance modeling, stormwater management, and mine water management.
  • Assist in the execution of water resources projects across the nation.
  • Offer technical guidance and support to the engineering and environmental teams.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients.
  • Ensure the delivery of technical models and reports meets high standards, reinforcing KBR's reputation for quality project outcomes.
  • Engage in TUFLOW/HEC-RAS modeling and project oversight.

Who You Are

Experience in the following areas is highly advantageous:

  • Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD)
  • Flood Risk Management
  • Waterway and Wetland Design
  • Dams and Retarding Basins
  • Major Drainage Infrastructure

Your position will encompass elements of strategy, design, and implementation. You will be responsible for completing reports and models, participating in GIS mapping, flood modeling, proposals, and mentoring junior staff.
