Senior Water Resources Engineer

About the Role

As a key member of KBR's Water Resources division, you will engage in a diverse array of stimulating projects that will enhance your professional skill set and keep you motivated. Your daily tasks may include developing and fine-tuning comprehensive flood models or contributing to the design team for significant infrastructure initiatives, both locally and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hydrological and hydraulic assessments and designs for various studies, including urban and rural flood assessments, transportation and mining infrastructure, floodplain management, water balance modeling, stormwater management, and mine water management.
  • Assist in the execution of water resources projects across the nation.
  • Provide specialized knowledge and support to the engineering and environmental teams.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients.
  • Ensure the delivery of technical models and reports meets high standards, reinforcing KBR's reputation for quality project outcomes.
  • Engage in TUFLOW/HEC-RAS modeling and project management activities.

Candidate Profile

Experience in the following areas would be advantageous:

  • Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD)
  • Flood Risk Management
  • Waterway and Wetland Design
  • Dams and Retarding Basins
  • Major Drainage Infrastructure

Your role will encompass strategic planning, design, and project delivery. You will prepare reports and models, participate in GIS mapping, and engage in proposals and mentoring of junior staff.
