About the RoleAs a Senior Water Resources Engineer, you will be responsible for undertaking hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for various projects, including multi-disciplinary road and rail infrastructure projects, coastal and riverine flood studies, floodplain management, and stormwater management.
You will work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams to support the delivery of design solutions that meet client and community expectations. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining an interest in technological advances and applying innovation to project delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for a wide range of projects.
- Work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams to deliver design solutions.
- Support the delivery of water resources projects nationally.
- Maintain an interest in technological advances and apply innovation to project delivery.
- Develop strong relationships with clients.
- Produce technical models and reports to a high standard.
- Commit to safe and sustainable delivery of projects.
- Support and lead the technical preparation of Water Resources proposals.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Graduate or postgraduate qualifications in Civil engineering, Environmental engineering, Environmental science, or a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in water resources engineering.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local legislation, regulatory frameworks, and policy.
- Competence in developing hydrology and hydraulic models.
- Ability to integrate design solutions with other disciplines.
- Proficiency in software packages such as TUFLOW, QGIS, and others.
- Ability to guide junior staff in model preparation and report writing.
- Registration as a Chartered engineer or pathway to obtaining CPEng.
