Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement hydrological and hydraulic flood models to inform water management decisions.
  • Design and develop water balance models for complex systems to optimize water use and reduce waste.
  • Contribute to the development of technical proposals and reports to support business growth.
  • Mentor and manage junior engineers to ensure their professional development and growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated water management projects.
  • Work on climate change adaptation, water optimization, and resilience-related projects to support our clients' sustainability goals.
  • Coordinate and verify designs, including drawings, reports, specifications, and studies, to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Help grow teams and build relationships with clients and stakeholders to drive business growth.
  • Embrace and promote a leading digital work environment and delivery culture to drive innovation and excellence.
  • Work collaboratively with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a field related to water resources engineering.
  • Experience with modeling software such as TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, RORB, or RAFTS.
  • Programming skills, including Python.
  • Water balance programs, such as GoldSim.
  • GIS experience, including ArcGIS, QGIS, or MapInfo.
  • Understanding of relevant Australian standards, regulations, and legislation.
  • Experience working with a variety of clients and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated self-management and ability to work autonomously.
  • Ambition to grow technical skills and personal influence.
