The Role Overview

As a key member of KBR's Water Resources team, you will engage in a variety of stimulating projects that will enhance your expertise and keep you motivated. Your responsibilities may include developing and calibrating comprehensive flood models or participating in the design phase of significant infrastructure initiatives, both locally and internationally.

You will collaborate with a national network of esteemed industry experts who appreciate technical proficiency and innovative thinking. Your role will involve practical problem-solving and engineering solutions, working closely with clients to achieve successful project outcomes. Opportunities to lead projects and manage business development activities will also be available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct hydrological and hydraulic assessments and designs for diverse studies, including urban and rural flood analysis, infrastructure projects, floodplain management, and stormwater solutions.
  • Assist in the execution of water resources projects on a national scale.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to engineering and environmental teams.
  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality technical models and reports, reinforcing KBR's reputation for excellence.
  • Utilize TUFLOW/HEC-RAS modeling and oversee project management tasks.

Candidate Profile

Experience in the following areas would be advantageous:

  • Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD)
  • Flood Risk Assessment
  • Waterway and Wetland Design
  • Dam Engineering
  • Retention Basin Management
  • Major Drainage Infrastructure

Your position will encompass strategic planning, design, and project delivery. You will be responsible for preparing reports and models, engaging in GIS mapping, flood modeling, and mentoring junior staff.
