About the Role

This position involves collecting payments of rentals and miscellaneous invoices for the fleet lease product, ensuring timely identification of accounts beyond acceptable payment terms and professional contact with clients who are in arrears.

  • Review debtor accounts to ensure prompt identification of overdue payments and maintain regular communication with clients to arrange clearance
  • Prepare statements of outstanding invoices and reconciliations for clients as required, following up on collections and ensuring accurate records
  • Ensure all arrears positions align with information on internal systems and financier systems
  • Action incoming correspondence via email, phone, and mail in a timely manner and create detailed file action notes for all customer interactions within provided systems
  • Work effectively with the team to meet department requirements, supporting the company's vision and goals, and complying with policies, systems, and processes approved from time to time
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with clients and internal departments, managing communication lines, client expectations, and discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or related field
  • Previous experience in a collection/receivable role for a medium-sized operation
  • Financial Acumen and proven ability to overcome obstacles and achieve results
  • Proficiency in database software and MS Office Suite applications, along with strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of payment plans and accounting procedures

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and address customer inquiries and concerns in a professional manner
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and ensure effective communication with clients
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of fleet lease products and associated payment structures
  • Monitor and analyze payment trends to identify areas for improvement

About You

You will be a motivated individual with a customer service orientation, adept problem-solving and objection-handling skills, patience, resilience, and the ability to build and establish relationships with customers based on rapport and trust.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum
