Job Description

We are seeking a Technical Sales Specialist to join our team at Telestream, LLC. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding our customer base in the ANZ region.

About the Role

This is a hybrid role that combines technical sales engineering with light sales management. You will leverage your technical expertise and business acumen to identify, qualify, and close cloud and on-premises opportunities. Acting as a trusted advisor to customers, you will collaborate closely with sales managers, internal teams, and channel partners to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs.

Responsibilities
  • Manage pre-sales processes from initial contact through post-sales support, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Act as a product evangelist in key customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events to increase awareness of product capabilities.
  • Identify new sales opportunities within existing and new customer bases.
  • Collaborate with sales managers and partners to close business by aligning solutions to specific customer needs.
  • Establish strong relationships with key customers, end-users, and partners, serving as a technical consultant.
Requirements
  • 5+ years in sales engineering or technical sales roles in media and entertainment, digital video, or digital workflows.
  • Proven success in pre-sales engineering or solutions architecture, with expertise in SaaS and on-premises solutions, ideally within the ANZ market.
  • Experience with video workflows, video streaming, and hybrid cloud deployments.
  • Strong understanding of digital video/audio technology, compression technology, IP networking, and protocols (e.g., SMPTE 2022-6, PTP, SRT, NDI).
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and familiarity with XML and JSON APIs.

  • A competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Remote work from a home office with flexible hours to support customers across various time zones.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time across Australia and New Zealand.
