Empowering Young Women through Mentorship and Support

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to join our SisterLink Program as a Support Worker/Mentor. The role involves providing one-on-one mentoring and support to young females aged 10-26 with trauma backgrounds and/or learning disabilities.

  • The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with participants.
  • A Certificate IV in Mental Health or related field is highly desirable.

As a Support Worker/Mentor, you will assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care and household management, and help participants develop practical life skills, including budgeting, time management, and goal setting.

Furthermore, you will facilitate group activities and workshops focused on resilience, confidence building, and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing individualized support and guidance to young women with complex needs.
  • Assisting with daily routines and developing life skills to promote independence.
  • Facilitating group activities and workshops to enhance social skills and emotional well-being.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with participants.
  • Certificate IV in Mental Health or related field (desired).
